The 30th Anniversary of the International Year of The Family Conference on Family and Contemporary Megatrends

Overview

Join us to help shape a future where every family thrives

This year, the Doha International Family Institute (DIFI) is organizing a global conference commemorating the 30th Anniversary of the International Year of the Family (IYF) focusing on the ‘Family and Contemporary Megatrends’.

IYF was proclaimed by the UNGA in 1994, recognizing the family as the fundamental unit of society, noting that it warrants special attention and therefore, should be accorded the widest possible protection and assistance in accordance with internationally agreed instruments. Held once every decade, the IYF plays a pivotal role in the development of policies and programs that can support and empower families on a global scale.

Over three days, more than 2,000 delegates - including policymakers, researchers, practitioners, parents, influencers, and youth - will come together to explore contemporary megatrends affecting the family:

• Demographic Change
• Migration and Urbanization
• Technological Change
• Climate Change
