Librarians for Libraries: Should Library and Information Professionals Change Before Libraries Do?

As the the IFLA MENA Regional Office, Qatar National Library invites you to the Librarians for Libraries program, which aims to develop librarianship skills in the MENA region through virtual sessions covering a variety of topics.

This workshop explores the future of the library and information profession in the era of artificial intelligence and digital transformation, and how these developments are reshaping traditional roles and creating opportunities for more strategic, innovative, and leadership-oriented work. It highlights the skills and competencies library and information professionals will need to lead change, drive innovation, and contribute to knowledge creation, digital content development, and knowledge sharing.

It also invites participants to consider how their roles must evolve to meet the changing needs of libraries and information institutions and prepare for the future.

This workshop will be conducted online via Zoom.
