Overview
The Herfah Program is focused on reviving and promoting traditional crafts deeply rooted in Qatari and Islamic culture. Held at Al Khater House, the program is delivered by The King’s Foundation School of Traditional Arts, who bring their expertise in teaching and preserving these crafts.
The 1-year immersive experience will run from October 2024 to June 2025, with classes held daily (Sunday - Thursday) from 3pm to 9pm covering core areas like Islamic geometry, nabati ornamentation, drawing for designers, and traditional painting.
Alongside core courses, participants will choose from a selection of electives to specialize in areas like ceramics, woodwork, textiles, gypsum carving, and decorative painting.
The program fee is QAR 35,000. To make this program accessible to all, we provide flexible payment options – including a full scholarship and a 50% discount (subject to approval).
Once registered, you will receive details about an upcoming mandatory webinar, where the flexible payment options and further program details will be discussed.
Class Timings: (Sunday - Thursday) from 3pm to 9pm
