Overview
Support (MTSS) as a whole-school framework for prevention, early identification, timely intervention, and inclusive support.
Participants will examine how Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 work together as one responsive system rather than separate levels of intervention. The workshop will focus on strengthening universal classroom practices, identifying emerging needs early, using evidence to determine the right level of support, and ensuring that interventions are matched to students’ academic, behavioural, social-emotional, and individual needs.
Through practical scenarios and collaborative activities, participants will explore how teachers, school leaders, specialists, and support teams can share responsibility, monitor student response, adjust support when needed, and create clear pathways between tiers.
The workshop moves beyond simply asking “Which tier does this student need?” to asking:
“What does the student need, what can we strengthen around them, and how do we know our support is making a difference?”
