Green Island is an initiative by Qatar Foundation (QF) that aims to make recycling accessible to all. Designed to raise environmental awareness, Green Island offers educational, research, and edutainment displays to promote leading sustainable practices in Qatar.

In addition, Green Island’s recycling services include seven streams: glass, paper, plastic, aluminum, batteries, cables, and electronics.

Visitors to Green Island can explore themes such as solar energy production, recycling construction waste, urban farming, as well as ongoing environmental research programs, all of which contribute to Qatar’s sustainability goals.
